As many of you know, the old site was becoming
cluttered and dated so we have decided to do a
complete redesign. We hope you like the new site
and look forward to your comments and
suggestions.
Rocktour.net was put in place in 1999 as a place
for the bus and truck drivers within the
professional entertainment industry to get
information that may apply directly to them and
may be hard to find elsewhere.
Without a doubt one of the most popular areas is
the venue directions pages. We know of no other
website that offers the kind of venue
information we do. The specific venue websites
offer direction information that is helpful to
the general public but not to show drivers.
This is why the directions are bus/truck
specific and not only will tell you how to get
to the backstage compound but what to expect
once you are there.
Then there is the news section on the front page
with items of interest to you.
Don't forget about the airport pages. Have you
ever went into an airport to pickup or drop off
a band and suddenly find a 8 foot clearance with
no way out? It's not a very comforting feeling.
From now on before you go to the airport, check
the Rocktour.net airport info pages. You might
just save yourself a lot of time and
embarrassment along with making yourself look
good to the tour by being 'in the know'.
One of the things we are the most excited about
is the new Driver's Resource Page. With onboard
internet now becoming commonplace in coaches we
have designed a 'Driver's Home Page' for your
use. This page contains links to the most used
sites and will place them just a click away so
you don't have to search for the information you
need. Not only are there links to the National
Weather Service Live Doppler Radar pages but
also links to various truck stop, Wal-Mart and
Speedco locations. Click
this link or
look in the menu under the Resources tab for
Driver's Road Page. Once again if you have any
useful links or other comments please
email them.
There are several more parts to the Rocktour.net
puzzle and we want you to click around a while
and investigate the site.
Please don't forget to send us your input,
comments and suggestions via email to
rocktour@earthlink.net.
Also, please bear in mind that this site is a
work in progress and there are still some
features from the old site that are not in place
such as the information submittal forms and
other miscellaneous items. I work on it as I can
and will eventually get around to changing
everything over. I will send newsletters as
these changes are completed.
Thanks for visiting. Please enjoy your stay and
come back often. |
