The Stone Mountain Arts Center is a small and very quaint
venue with the rear most seat being only 45' from the stage.
The upside is that even though it sounds difficult to get
to, it's quite easy. With it's small audience area and a
great band/crew area downstairs and beautiful surroundings,
it's just a nice place to be. |

From
Conway, NH... |
--New Hampshire
Routes 16 and 113 intersect in Conway which is a recommended
starting point when coming from any direction.
--If you are coming from the south on
I-95, it is suggested that you take Rte-16 (Spaulding
Turnpike) to the Conway area. Rte-16 is at New Hampshire
exit 4.
--Once in Conway, Rte-16 goes left. Stay on Rte-113 for
another 2 miles then continue on US-302 for 1.3 miles.
--Turn right onto Mill Street which will become Brownfield
Road.
--Cross into Maine and continue on Brownfield Road for
another 1.3 miles to it's end.
--Turn left onto River Road for .4 mile.
--Turn right onto County Road. (Most map programs show this
as Rogers Hill Road)
--As soon as you turn onto County Road you will see a short
wooden bridge. Say your prayers and continue.
--Continue on County Road for about a mile and a half going
mostly uphill. When you start back downhill, Dugway Road is
at the bottom on the left. There should be a sign that reads
"SMAC".
--Once you turn onto Dugway the road will fork. Take the
left fork.
--The venue is on your left. It is a red barn behind a small
white house.
--Go to the second driveway entrance for load in.
For a final note, most GPS programs
and MapQuest will tell you to go in from the Main Street,
Brownfield end of Dugway Road. Due to mountainous
conditions, this route is highly discouraged. |
