Backing and positioning notes... |
Pearl Street is a
two-way street and it is possible to put the venue on your
left by passing Oakland Street and turning right onto
Monmouth then right onto Pearl. The problem with this is
curbside parking by the locals. If you try to back in on the
sight side with a trailer you will not have enough swing
room.
By blindside backing you can use the empty parking spaces at
the Laundromat for swing room. |

Parking and shore power... |
There is a short
chain link fence on the left side of the bus that separates
the venue from the house next door. Stay within 1' of that
fence and back your trailer beside the light pole at the
loading pad. Stop the trailer wheels just before the pad and
you will have room to drop the door.
Because of the private residence next door, shore power must
be used. There is a plug there but it is the old style
3-angle prong plug. Modern 4-prong plugs have to be
hard-wired. If your shore power cord is stored on the
driver's side of the bus, be sure and remove it before you
back in or you won't be able to get to it. You'll see what I
mean. |
