Toad's Place Richmond
is located in the historic part of Richmond in the old Lady
Byrd Hat Building. The streets down here are narrow with a
lot of traffic and sometimes hard to negotiate. The
directions given below will try to keep you on the widest
streets.
Even though I was parked next to the building and almost
under the freeway bridge, I was still able to receive
satellite TV. |

points south on I-95... |
Take I-95 north to
exit 74A (I-195)
Take I-195 to the first exit which is Canal Street
Keep straight on Canal Street for a block and a half
Turn right onto 10th Street
Turn right onto Cary Street
Turn right onto Virginia Street and go to the end
The venue is on your right just under the bridge |

From points north on I-95... |
Take I-95 south to
exit 74B (Franklin Street)
Turn right onto Franklin Street
Turn left onto 14th Street
Turn right onto Canal Street
Turn left onto Virginia Street and go to the end

I was not able to
back the bus and trailer into the parking lot because of the
narrow roadway, trees and light posts. However, you might be
able to continue past the venue and turn around in the
cul-de-sac and be able to back in from the drivers side.
When I went in, I unhooked the trailer and the venue hooked
it to a pickup truck and backed it in. I hooked the trailer
back up while it was parked.
Exiting to the left was no problem. |
